Web Technologist Specialist (WTS) is the person or a team which is responsible for performing the entire task from Planning to Implementation to Testing and Maintenance. Key Roles of WTS are web design architecture, development and ongoing improvement of corporate website, and providing key inputs into strategic direction.
A web technology specialist is also responsible for communicating with clients, Corporate Marketing, Internet Marketing Program Manager and other key stakeholders to ensure that the site is continually improving, addressing customer needs for process, marketing content, and communication. These activities will result in higher output of website growth; increase the traffic on a website, improve the customer s experience, increase site usage via click-throughs and ultimately increase conversions. Communication & personal involvement is a key importance of WTS.
A web technology specialist knows how to create a good web site. WTS should have solid organizational skills, strong creative and graphic design abilities, great website design skills and a knowledge of network and operating systems. In addition, WTS integrates projects, communicate, builds a team& ensure that team possesses skills necessary to launch a successful web site.
WTS should, 1. Develop a strong and cohesive website, manage and update content on a consistent timely basis. 2. Drive critical content into the site, including news, performance, change control, and other key web technologies. 3. Maintain the integrity of site, ensuring a consistent customer experience across all content, by providing accurate, relevant data. 4. Assist subject matter experts in writing content suitable for publication, ensuring quality and integrity. 5. Effective identification and prioritization of key levers to improve consumer content and ultimately the customer experience. 6.
